Beer & Cider

PIVO means beer in the Czech language and that's what you'll get with 40 taps of beer and cider in a taproom nestled between a brewery and art studio.

Conveniently located just west of Hwy 52 on the north side of Calmar (9 miles south of Decorah), an amazing variety of ever changing beer styles will always be on tap, along with a few guest beers, wine, non-alcoholic drinks, and delicious food. The taproom kitchen serves a variety of sandwiches and platters and is family friendly with a sunny deck and a grassy beer garden where dogs are welcome. A short spur off the Prairie Farmer bike trail goes directly past the deck and bicycle parking is available.

PIVO Event Center is the perfect wedding venue or location for your event. With 4500 square feet of space, there is seating for 350 to 400 people.

Craig and Sara both grew up on farms in Winneshiek County. For 21 years the Air Force had them living and working around the globe. Through all their travels they have always considered northeast Iowa their “true home”, and they are thrilled to be putting roots back down where it all began. The area is rich in small town charm, friendly people, abundant natural resources, and natural beauty.
